18 mile run today.  It felt smooth and easy.  I ran a lot faster then I thought I would.  I can see it's going to be touch slowing down and running with my wife during the marathon.  She's going for a PR of 3:45.  Her best is a 3:52 about 7 years ago.  That was the last time I ran with her during a marathon.  I'm excited to do it again.

8 miles today.  For some reason I felt the need for speed today.  Maybe because my departments fall physical fitness testing is coming up again.  I love beating the new Rangers that come out of the academy.  I'm hoping to do it again.

20 miles this morning. It's tapper down from here on the long runs.  A pretty good run this morning, nice and cool.  54 degrees!!  I felt fresh throughout and felt like I could have done another 10 without any problems.  I'm not in speed shape by any means, but I think I'll be able to keep us with the misses in St. George.

8 miles today.  I ran on the treadmill.  I did a pretty fast work out.  I was happy with the speed.  I've gone from doing 9 workouts a week to three a week sence the half triathlon.  My fat butt has gained 10 pounds!!!!!

8 miles today.   There have been a lot of runners out here lately.  It's kind of nice to pass them from time to time.  I passed and talked with an older lady today who was out running.

I feel ready for the St. George.  I can't wait to run with my wife.  I'm actually going to enjoy the run this time, instead of being so focused on a time and killing myself to catch it.  I'm sure I'm not done with speed.  I'm already starting to feel the itch.  I may try for another PR within the next couple of year, we'll see.

I've got my department physical fitness test on Monday.  It'll be fun beating those guys.  I'm going to run in a new region this go around.  I'm excited to get some new competition.  It'll be like running a new race.  I may even get smoked.  I love the department run and the timed push ups.  I'm going for 100 in 60 seconds.  I did it this morning, so I should be good.

Good news.  I've lost 6 pounds in the last 4 days.  I've been eating out a lot and have had a lot of soda lately.  I guess I had a lot of crap that needed to come out of the system.  I'm trying to detox the system for the next couple of weeks.

I did my department physical fitness test today.  I did 100 push ups in 60 seconds!!!  My run was a little slower then usual 1.5 miles in 8:57.  I still beat everbody there, so I was happy.
